Picture Time and a new Title for Watson :)

So last week we went coursing. We attended a trial in Racine on Saturday. The whole thing turned into a comedy of errors or perhaps a tragic comedy. We arrived at nine in the morning for the role call...and then we sat for hours as the equipment broke during the first couple of heats and they could not get/keep it running after that (Mind you this club invested in new equipment after last year's trial when the old equipment proved to be unreliable). In the end they had to use a drag lure to try and complete the days runs...which meant the course had to be manually reset after every heat.

Watson got to run finally around three in the afternoon...he earned his JC. After his run my minions rebelled and wanted to go home...so Menchi did not get to run for her first CAA leg that day. No telling when she would have run since there were several more sighthound breeds to run before the CAT dogs would have ever gotten to course.

I did get to snuggle with lots of dogs that day though :)

Tonight we had a nice Saturday evening stroll through the park.

Here are some pictures :)

The rare Shar Pei plant...

She was happy...she found mud to roll in...

Picture Time: Afternoon at the dog park edition

Today was Menchi's third birthday. It is hard to believe that our little squishy is already three.
We headed out to the dog park to celebrate and on the way home we shared some fried cheese curds.

This little dude made friends with Watson and followed him back to us at one point :)
Happy Curly Tails
Note the muddy Shar Pei...she loves rolling in mud.

Chaz Meetup 2014

Last Saturday we met up with some folks from the Chazhound forum in Chicagoland. We did this last year as well and it was so much fun that several of us decided this should be an annual event.

Sadly our turnout was much smaller than expected when several people that wanted to come couldn't.

So it ended up being the Curly Tails, myself, Sabe, Lindsey, and her dogs Didgie and Fergus, as well as Ashley, her husband Ken, and their dog Crossbone.

Some of these pictures were taken by me, and some of them were taken by Lindsey and Ashley.

Greeting the natives...
Fergus
Watson and Fergus have a meeting.
The Curly Tails really liked this little Terrier...

A smile for the camera...

Miss Didgie waits impatiently for all of us to get moving...
Waiting for the toy to be thrown...

If Didgie likes retrieving...
...it can't be all bad...

Less of a thrill than he thought it would be...
He is so stinking cute!

Hey guys there is a toy here and no one is throwing it!

Even Menchi played in the water a little...
She likes mudbaths...
It's cooling and good for the complexion!

Watson thought that Crossbone was fun...
Crossbone thought that Watson was annoying...

Watson thought that Didgie is a very pretty girl...to bad she didn't give him the time of day...
Great action sequence by Lindsey.

The end...
